Hi Triple6, i think that may be the problem having looked again at the cd and finding that the windows 7 driver only works from 6 up which i presume is MX and yes it is an ancient card but the pc will only take a pci card and not a pci express and they are not easy to find with win 7 support,, i purchased this on on Amazon and there was only one other card that actually showed 7 support but not wanting to spend any more than i had to i went for the cheaper one especially as the pc is rarely used and when it is it's my 5yr old son who uses it,,, it's been lying in the garage gathering cardd for years and i just thought it may be worth trying to bring it into the 21st century but maybe i will just leave it with xp as it has and does work fine with it,, i have gotten so used to using 7 i find it strange to be using xp again.
